Flight Operations Course (IFP)
International Flight Planning for Dispatchers (IFP):

Purpose

International Flight Planning for Dispatchers provides students with the fundamentals of international flight operations, oceanic and polar flight planning, international aviation law and ICAO rules and regulations. Students become familiar with the procedures and equipment necessary to operate in different types of airspace, and how to plan a successful flight through the application of advanced flight planning techniques. This course is applicable to all flight planning systems, but does not include input instructions for specific flight planning engines.

Objectives

  • Provides students with the fundamentals of international Flight operations, Long haul flights and navigations procedures, International Air Law
  • Students will also be introduced to procedures and scenario's and skills necessary to operate in an international and different types of airspace, familiarization with the various Air traffic Services requirements, meteorology
  • On how to make use of new flight planning software, crew resource on how to brief crew for long haul/international flight and contingencies planning.

  • ETOPS
  • RVSM
  • RNP
  • 8.33 KHZ spacing
  • Driftdown/Re-dispatch
  • Tracks Systems, Polar, Oceanic, NATS, PACOTS, FANS
    Route planning over special airspace and Contingencies planning, High MORA terrain,
     

Pre-requisite

Qualified flight Dispatchers who are upgrading to International Flight Planning Section of an AOC.
 

Who should attend

This course is design for qualified dispatchers and flight operations officers who are already upgrading to International Flight Planning Section of an AOC, Domestic sections dispatchers who want to gain knowledge or entry into International Dispatching.

Course Details

Course Duration:        3 Days (21 hours)

Course Schedule:       Full-time (3 Days of Instructions of 7 hours per day)

                                 Part-time (7 Evening Lessons of 3 hours per evening)

Course Fee:                SGD 3,500 per participant

Course Award

Certificate of Successful Completion (conforming to FAR Part 65, ICAO Annex 6: given to participants who attend the full duration of the course and passed the examination conducted at the end of the course.
