Introduction
Airlines/Operators engage Flight Dispatchers for obtaining
ATC and MET briefings and to brief the pilots accordingly and
also for preparing flight plans. In order to ensure safety of
aircraft operations it is necessary to have uniform and desired
level of proficiency of Flight Dispatchers.
Purpose
This course is design for Junior / Assistant Dispatchers
wanting to upgrade their technical skills & knowledge, flight
crew in air transportation, Meteorologist, managers in a flight
operation environment, people in an airline who wants to know
more about the dispatch profession.
This course is designed for those who want to acquire a
basic level of knowledge of commercial airline dispatch
procedures, local and international regulations and enabling
them to become effective personnel in the AOC.
Objectives
- To enable students to have an overview of an Airline
Operations Center, the processes and work responsibilities
of a Flight Operations Officer or Dispatcher.
- To provide student with basic level of knowledge of
commercial airline dispatch procedures, local and internal
regulations thus enabling them to become effective personnel
in the AOC.
- Basic indoctrination
Training
The basic indoctrination
training for newly appointed Flight Dispatchers shall
include a minimum of 7 days of instructions in at least the
following areas.
- Duties and
responsibilities of Flight Dispatchers.
- Joint Dispatchers
- Appropriate portion of
Civil Aviation Requirements, Aircraft Rules and AICs.
- Contents of the
operator's certificate/permit and limitations, if any.
- Appropriate portion of
the airline /operation Manual.
- Syllabus (With
Examination)
- Aviation Law & Agencies
(ICAO, IATA, JAR, EASA, CAA incorporating the Freedom of the
Air)
- Form of the Earth
- Aircraft Systems
- Introduction to
Aerodynamics
- Navigations
- Meteorology & Weather
patterns
- Basic Flight Planning,
Creating & Filling of FPL to ATS agencies
- Weight & Balance (Load
Control)
Compliance
The Certified Flight Operations Officer / Dispatcher are in
compliance with ICAO Annex 6 and Part D-3, FAR Part 65. This
course includes instructions in the following areas:

Part-time (15 Evening Lessons
of 3 hours per

Course Award
Certificate of successful completion in compliance with
ICAO Annex 6 and Part D-3, FAR Part 65: given to
