Introduction
This course is design to ensure that each Flight Dispatcher
is adequately trained and currently proficient with respect to
the specific aircraft. The course shall mainly consist of
emergency and safety aspects, familiarization with DGCA
circulars, NOTAMS, AICs, CARs and review of accidents/incidents
during the last two years.
Purpose
To refresh Flight Dispatchers or Flight Operation Officers
skills and knowledge who are already working in a Flight
Dispatch Office. and or; who has been away for a period of more
than 6 months or just as routine refresher course required by
the Civil Aviation Regulations.
To update Flight dispatchers on latest Flight Operations,
Navigations and Air Traffic Services Updates.
Objectives
- Refresh Flight Dispatchers or FOO(Flight Operation
Officers) skills and knowledge who are already working in a
Flight Dispatch Office. and or; who has been away for a
period of more than 6 months or just as routine refresher
course required by the Civil Aviation Regulations.
- Update Flight dispatchers on latest Flight Operations,
Navigations and Air Traffic Services Updates.
Recurrent / Re-qualification
Training
The Recurrent training for
Flight Dispatchers include at least the following areas:
- Instructions as
necessary in the subjects required for initial ground
training to refresh their knowledge.
- A quiz or other review
to determine the state of the dispatcher’s knowledge with
respect to the aircraft
- Undergo recurrent
training every 12 calendar months.
- Flight Operations
Officer / Flight Dispatcher is adequately trained and
currently proficient with respect to the type of airplane
(including differences training, if applicable).
- It is a requirement
that a Flight Operations Officer/Flight Dispatcher be given
a flight deck observation to a relevant area of operations
that he is authorized to exercise flight supervision. This
may also be conducted in a simulator

Convention, Treaties, International Air Law & Regulations,
Governing agencies
- Meteorology
- Flight Planning
- Navigation
- Dispatch Resource
Management, Human Factors & EMT (Including workshops
sessions)
- Air traffic Services &
Technologies updates, PBN, PRNAV, RVSM, Dispatch tools &
systems.
Pre-requisite
Flight Operations
Officer/Flight Dispatcher shall undergo recurrent training every
12 calendar months
Who should attend
Qualified Flight Operations Officer / Dispatchers who are
already dispatching flights, Managers in an Operations
Control Environment
Course Fee
Course Duration: 3 Days (21 hours)
Course Schedule: Full-time (3 Days of Instructions of 7
hours per day)
Part-time (7 Evening Lessons
of 3 hours per evening)
Course Fee: SGD 3,500 per participant

Course Award
Certificate of Successful Completion in conformance with
ICAO Annex 6 and Part D-3, FAR Part 65: given to
participants who attend the full duration of the course and
passed the examination conducted at the end of the course.
