Prerequisities of IOSA Auditors
IOSA auditors have to work for an IATA accredited Audit Organization and need to fulfill the following prerequisites:
Qualifying as an Auditor
Current certification by a recognized national or international auditor certification authority in accordance with internationally recognized auditor certification standards (a certificate of attendance is not sufficient). Successful completion of formal IOSA Auditor Training
Audit Experience
Documented and verifiable evidence of having conducted at least four aviation operational quality or safety audits. At least one of the audits within the 12 months prior to application.
Schooling
Completed at least secondary education (typically 12 years of full time schooling under the national education system)
Aviation experience
A minimum of five years full time experience in civil or military aviation with not less than six months within the last 24 months prior to application
Language skills
Business fluent and fully conversant in written and spoken English
Personal attributes
- Willingness to comply with the IOSA auditor Code of Conduct;
- Result-oriented to achieve audit objectives;
- Openness and receptiveness to the audited environment;
- Diplomacy and tact in dealing with other people and foreign cultures;
- Analytical skills in decision making
